Employees play a crucial role in determining the success of an organization, including in the tourism sector. In managing tourist destinations, employee performance is a key factor influencing service quality and visitor satisfaction. This also applies to employees at the Tebing Breksi Tourism Park in Yogyakarta, one of the leading tourist destinations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Therefore, it is necessary to examine factors that can influence employee performance, particularly work motivation and the work environment. This paper aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and the work environment on employee performance at the Tebing Breksi Tourism Park in Yogyakarta. In the competitive tourism industry, optimal employee performance is a key factor, so it is important to understand the factors that influence it. This paper uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 50 active employees, analyzed through validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, coefficient of determination (R²), and correlation (R). The results show that work motivation and the work environment simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance (F count = 91.738; significance = 0.000). Partially, work motivation has a significant effect (t-test = 3.300; regression coefficient = 0.368), while the work environment has a more dominant influence (t-test = 9.409; regression coefficient = 0.742). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.787 indicates that 78.7% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these two variables. In conclusion, increasing motivation and creating a conducive work environment play a significant role in improving performance. Therefore, the management of Taman Tebing Breksi is advised to pay more attention to human resource development through appropriate managerial strategies.
